Operation:
How gently does the trimmer treat flower?
The Zoom Pro’s trim is micro-adjustable, so you can dial-in the level of trim you desire. You can adjust barrel speed, blades distance and the time the flower spend tumbling.
Does the trimmer work on both wet and dry flower?
Yes, the Zoom Pro is designed and built for both wet and dry flower trimming. Adjustable barrel rpm for the more fragile flower conditions for best trichome retention.
What are hybrid barrels?
They are used for trimming wet and large dry flowers. ZOOM Pro comes with a set of hybrid barrels.
What are narrow slot barrels for?
They are for trimming small fragile dry flowers. They have narrower slots and can be ordered as an add-on.
How to trim dry flowers?
Please refer to Dry Trimming Operating Procedure
Why are there left and right barrels?
These are designed for the best cutting performance on each rotation direction and optimal material movement through each barrel.
What throughput numbers can I expect?
You can trim up to 150 pounds per hour wet; or up to 50 pounds per hour dry with ZOOM Pro trimming machine with Leaf Collector. Learn More
Can I adjust the blades for a closer cut?
Yes, barrels can be adjusted to the reel blades for a close trim on each barrel.
How do I adjust barrel speed?
There is a speed control knob on the Control Box with a range from 0 to 10 (0-180rpm). Simply turn the knob clockwise to increase speed, and counter clockwise to reduce the barrel speed.
How do I adjust the incline?
We have a jack handle on the Hopper side. Turn it counter clockwise to raise the machine angle for faster material flow or clockwise to lower and reduce material feed rate.
Can the trimmer be used outdoors?
Yes. The trimmer controls and reel motor are sealed (IP67) from dust and water for the harsh environments. The leaf collector motor should be protected from getting wet.
Why the two barrels rotate counter clockwise?
Zoom Pro barrels use counter rotate technology allowing the material to naturally move into the cutting zone at 4 o’clock and 8 o’clock position with the angled barrel slot design for maximum cutting efficiency. With this rotation only ONE Reel Blade is required for both Barrels. The reel cutter is positioned at the precise position for the best cutting action on both barrels.
Can I link two or more ZOOM Pro’s end to end?
Yes, ZOOM Pro is tandem ready with our additional tandem rack. You can link up to 4 ZOOM Pros end to end to increase cutting time and greatly increase volume output with additional tandem racks.
How heavy is the ZOOM Pro?
The ZOOM Pro weighs 360lbs without the leaf collector and the leaf collector is 154lbs.
Is the machine loud when it is running?
The machine itself is very quiet. The leaf collector is 75-85 decimal and it’s best to use ear protection for prolonged use.
